If you want to get a Xiaomi phone in Singapore, you can find them almost everywhere. All carriers have at least a couple of their models on offer and if you want more, you can find all Xiaomi phones with various retailers. Xiaomi is popular in this part of the globe but despite their wide offering of models and diversity, not all models are worth considering. They do make devices that offer great value for money but also have devices that are simply not that appealing. If we were to limit the available options to just a few Xiaomi phones, only 3 models stand out.
The Flagship: Xiaomi Mi 11 and Mi 11 Ultra
The Xiaomi Mi 11 is a good alternative to the flagship Samsung Galaxy phones. We get a smartphone with 5G, the capable Snapdragon 888 SoC along with the Qualcomm Kryo 680 CPU, and the powerful Adreno 660 GPU. To complement the powerful hardware, Xiaomi also made a beautiful design for the device and paired it with great-performing cameras.
If you want something more extreme, the Mi 11 Ultra ticks that checkbox. However, you pay a lot and get very little in return. The CPU and GPU are the same. You get a larger screen and upgraded front and rear cameras. If you are looking for a flagship Xiaomi phone in Singapore, it makes much more sense financially to get the standard Mi 11.
The Perfect Midrange: Xiaomi Redmi Note 10S
For the midrange pick, it has to be the Redmi Note 10S. If you do not have the budget for the Mi 11, for nearly a third of the price you can get the Note 10S instead and you will be surprised by how well it performs. Hardware-wise, it gets everything needed to run smoothly and handle all the basics such as social media apps, streaming, and some productivity apps. The display and camera are the biggest compromises that were made. While they may not be stellar, they are good enough which is the overall qualification that the Redmi Note 10S gets. For a mid-range device, this has to be the best Xiaomi phone in Singapore simply for the sheer value it offers for the money you spend on it.
The Budget Phone Winner: Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 2021
The original Redmi Note 8 was released in 2019. It was so popular that Xiaomi released a revised version in 2021. It uses a MediaTek SoC that does not have 5G support but it is capable enough for day-to-day use. The screen size is generous at 6.3 inches but does not expect an amazing display. It still looks great and feels very responsive. The cameras are decent while the OS is well optimized. If you want a budget device, this has to be the best Xiaomi phone in Singapore that you can get for very little money. The only way the Redmi Note 8 would disappoint is if you set your expectations too high. If that is the case, maybe a midrange like the Redmi Note 10S is what you should be looking at.
