Published

on

Amazon has been stricter in its privacy and safety policy. It is majorly done to protect crime in the neighboring areas. According to Amazon, a “patent application” is used in order to identify packages that are lifted from the doorsteps of people’s houses. Well, it is also said that the theft is possible to get addressed by the help of cameras installed on the doorbells. Once the theft takes place, police and neighbors can get alarmed.

The application used in finding the thief is quite a new and interesting way of finding the solution of lifted packages. Mostly it is “Porch Pirates” who pick Amazon e-commerce shipped packages. Now, facial recognition can assist in determining the thief easily.  Amazon has given several way outs through which customers can stay safe from theft from their doorsteps. Interestingly, Amazon has given one of the best solutions. It has about giving the delivery person permission to go inside the home. That is done with the help of “Amazon Key”.

In this January, the largest police department was formed which has started appreciating citizens to download the application and use it for reporting cases in theft and etc. This application is not just to alert police or/and neighbors, but also illustrates almost everything that could be associated with the evolvement of alerts.

Almost a hundred partners dealing in law enforcement have signed to share information of and with citizens. Companies have started filing applications against technologies that actually never take their due course. Even then, the application could be a resource for catching thieves and limiting crime.
