Uber has unveiled a new project on Wednesday named “Uber Vouchers.” This project is designed for the businesses, and it gives them an option to provide discounted or free ride hail trips for their customers. This is the latest service from Uber and designed in an attempt at growing their B2B market. This latest announcement came right before Uber announcing its public offering officially.

Companies that usually offer customer transportation services such as rental cars or shuttle services in the hospitality sector or insurance space can now use these Vouchers to offer the Uber rides instead. The bars and restaurants can offer discounted rides for their drunk customers. This service is available in almost all the major cities where Uber is offering its services. The businesses can sign up for these vouchers by visiting the official site of Uber.

According to Uber, the working of these vouchers will be as follows- The companies can create customized voucher programs and campaigns within a specific budget, set both pickups and drop off locations, and particular time for the offer. All these details can be tailored depending upon the event, service or promotion. These vouchers can be sent to the customers via email, mobile messaging and social media.

The companies offering these vouchers will only pay when the customer redeems the offer. The customers who have already received this voucher can apply it directly to their existing Uber account.

General Manager and Global Head of Uber, Ronnie Gurion said that the companies these days are looking for new and exciting ways to interact with the customers and these vouchers will be a great help in such instances.

Businesses will be provided with a dashboard where they can see how many vouchers are redeemed and how many are still left.
